The National Health Information Center (NHIC) is a
health information referral service that puts health
professionals and consumers who have health questions in
touch with those organizations that are best able to provide
answers.

Household Survey on Drug Abuse (NHSDA)
SAMHSA's National Household Survey on Drug
Abuse (NHSDA) is the primary source of information on the
prevalence, patterns, and consequences of drug and alcohol
use and abuse in the general U.S. civilian non
institutionalized population, age 12 and older.

Mental Health Information Center (NMHIC)
Center for Mental Health Services
The Center for Mental Health Services developed this
Web site for users of mental health services and their
families, the general public, policy makers, providers, and
the media. Staff are skilled at listening and responding to
questions from the public and professionals. They quickly
direct callers to Federal, State, and local organizations
dedicated to treating and preventing mental illness. Tis
center also has information on Federal grants, conferences,
and other events.
NIAAA
Alcohol Policy Web Site
The Alcohol Policy Information System APIS is an
electronic resource that provides authoritative, detailed,
and comparable information on alcohol-related policies in
the United States, at both State and Federal levels.
Designed primarily as a tool for researchers, APIS is
intended to encourage and facilitate research on the effects
and effectiveness of alcohol-related policies.
Office
of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP)
The principal purpose of ONDCP is to establish
policies, priorities, and objectives for the Nation's drug
control program, the goals of which are to reduce illicit
drug use, manufacturing, and trafficking; drug-related crime
and violence; and drug-related health consequences.

This agency's mission is to improve the health of
women by developing women’s health research, health care

ONDCP
Drugs and Crime Clearinghouse
This clearinghouse specializes in disseminating
information on drug use trends, drug related crime issues,
and national drug control policy. The clearinghouse is a
component of the National Criminal Justice Reference Service

Drug Policy Information Clearinghouse
The clearinghouse provides free reference
services to anyone interested in drug-related policy and
research. We are also one of the RADAR Network's Specialty
Centers.
The
Recovery Community Services Program (RCSP)
The Recovery Community Services Program (RCSP)
is a grant program of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse
Treatment (SAMHSA-CSAT). In RCSP grant projects,
peer-to-peer recovery support services are provided to help
people initiate and/or sustain recovery from alcohol and
drug use disorders. Some RCSP grant projects also offer
support to family members of people needing, seeking, or in
recovery.
